(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - In honor of her bronze medal win at the Senior World Championships in Catania, Italy last week, Lee Kiefer (Lexington, Ky.) was recently named as USA Today's Olympic Athlete of the Week.
Kiefer's win marked just the second time a female U.S. foil fencer has earned a medal at the Senior World Championships and has earned her a #6 ranking in the world.
