Cadet Team Entry Criteria and Procedures: This season, USA Fencing will not be in charge of entering or paying for the saber team events at the designated cadet events. However, fencers and coaches who wish to organize a club team for entry may certainly do so. We ask that you adhere to the following steps to enter your team, as entries still need to be sent to the organizers by USA Fencing:
- Team entries will not be accepted until after the close of the Individual competition deadline.
- Within 48 hours of the entry deadline for the Individual competition, submit in writing by email to Courtney Kulick (c.kulick@usfencing.org) your list of 3 or 4 fencers and identify who the team captain will be (by September 1st for Godollo and December 29th for London).
- If the event organizers are restricting the number of teams per country (i.e. the London organizers are allowing only one team per country) and we receive more than one team request, USA Fencing will select the team on a first-come, first-served basis. USA Fencing will use the time stamp on the team entry email that you have submitted to the office. All teams will be notified within 48 hours of the team entry deadline.
- Teams will be responsible to pay the team entry fee to the organizers at the competition and be responsible for any on-site registration and confirmation needed.
- If the team events require a referee, the team(s) will be responsible for either the referee’s expenses or to pay the required fine – whichever is the lesser amount.
