Division Qualifying Information Packet - The conductive bib in foil is not required for qualifiers. The conductive bib in foil is only required at the National level (NACs and Championships) for Division I, Junior, Cadet, Veteran Age Groups and Wheelchair.

This list reflects: U20 and U17 who have met the points qualification path as of the 2011 JO's, April DVI Nationals, July NAC, Oct NAC, Nov NAC, Dec DVI NAC, Jan NAC, and as of 17 Jan 12 points. This list will be update after relevant Junior/Cadet domestic point events. Qualifiers from Division will not be posted on the Auto list.
Eligibility

U.S. citizen OR permanent resident who has not represented another country in the last three years.

Current competitive member of USA FENCING.

The athlete's birth year falls in that age bracket OR on the national rolling point standings in the next younger age bracket

A fencer must be on the National Rolling Point Standings (NRPS), or attend the Qualifier and place in the appropriate place or percentage for each event they wish to compete in.
UNDER-17 (CADET) CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fencers must be born between 1995 and 1998 AND BE

On the Cadet NRPS^ on January 17, 2012 OR
-
In the top 8 of the Youth 14 NRPS on January 17, 2012 OR

Qualified for the Under-20 JO Championships (BOD, 10/04) OR

In the top 25% [refer to Table 1] in their Division’s Under-17 J.O. qualifying competition (BOD, 10/04)
^ Points will be awarded for places 33-64 at Senior, Junior and Cadet NACs if there are at least 160 fencers in the competition. These points will be used for seeding national competitions. In order to be considered on the point standings for the purposes of selection or qualification for each category there must be at least one 32nd place result and the total points must be at least: 275 for senior; 165 for junior; 110 for cadet.
UNDER-20 (JUNIOR) CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fencers must be born between 1992 and 1998 AND BE

In the top 16 of the Cadet NRPS on January 17, 2012 OR

UNDER 20 (JUNIOR) TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Division does not have to hold a qualifying competition. Teams must meet the criteria below

All Club Teams and team members must be current club and competitive USFA members respectively.

No more than 3 teams per USFA member club per event will be allowed to enter.

Members of the U20 team must born between 1992 and1998

Members of the team must have represented the Club at a competition during the 2011-2012 Season.

Club Team members must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents who have not represented another country in the past three years, and have represented the club in USFA competitions this season.
