Personal:
Weston "Seth" Kelsey is one of the US's all-time most accomplished epee fencers. He was a member of the first US Men's Epee Team ever to earn a medal at a World Championships -- a silver 2010 at the World Championships in Paris, France.
Kelsey graduated from Oregon Episcopal High School (Beaverton, Ore.) in 1999, where he fenced for all four years. His high school honors included the Technical Stage award and the Outstanding Athlete award. He then attended the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated in 2003 with a degree in Behavioral Science. He continued to compete in fencing while at the Academy where he received the Athletic Achievement Award and was a three-time fencing MVP. Kelsey, a member of the United States Air Force World Class Athlete Program, serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He was active duty in the U.S. Air Force for several years before transitioning to the Air Force Reserve. He recently transitioned back to Air Force Active Reserve. Hobbies include reading, cooking and sailing. He regularly trains with the modern pentathletes in Colorado Springs, Colo., since one of their disciplines is fencing. Favorite movie is The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and favorite television show is House. His role model is Meriweather Lewis because he journeyed to places unknown and them came back to tell the world. His parents are Morton and Susan Kelsey. He has one sister, Holly. He is fluent in Spanish.
